Carla Rigon
Carla Rigon has been working with GYROTONIC® since 1998. In addition to teaching both GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS®, Carla is certified to teach the GYROTONIC® pre-training course, a prerequisite for all aspiring teachers. Carla had the privilege of being trained by the founder of GYROTONIC®, Juliu Horvath. She continues to study with him whenever possible. Carla also worked with Pino Carbone, creator of the Art Form equipment, and served as his assistant in summer workshops from 2001-2003. Carla's background includes training in music, Pilates, and diverse dance techniques. She received her Trainee Certificate at the Martha Graham School, and participated in the creation of Panorama, which performed in New York and the Spoletto Festivals in Charleston, South Carolina, and Spoletto, Italy. Carla danced in the New York Metropolitan Opera productions of Moses und Aron, Samson et Dalila, Parsifal and Turandot. Other performance credits include: Richard Move's Martha @ Mother; Roots of Brazil, and Martita Goshen. Carla danced in Ghost Light, a feature film about the life of Martha Graham.
